Beautiful hotel with old world elegance but somewhat dated room and facilities. Extremely friendly and courteous staff. Commendations for Crystal Moore and Shianne on the wait staff in the lovely restaurant with harbour view. Both gave exceptional service with help going beyond expectations. Crystal even came to our table with an over-the-counter remedy for my wifes serious cold. Dee (spelling?) was an excellent, accommodating restaurant supervisor.This large and lovely hotel is on enormous grounds and many, many beautiful flower gardens. Huge, protected, heated outdoor pool, but only a smattering of old equipment in the spacious fitness centre. Room was small but very elegant. Bathroom was small and could use updates, but everything worked fine and was very clean. Towels were sumptuous. King bed was superb, better than our own at home- it eliminated the back pain I have been suffering for months. Very elegant lounge and attached room with comfy easy chairs and view of Digby harbour and town.Worth a several day stay, just to enjoy the scenery and facilities. Unfortunately, we only used it as a base for day trips in the area and had to move into our next vacation destination.
always enjoyed staying here. Lovely landscaping with gorgeous old trees meant for climbing :) The hotel is charming, we always stayed in a cabin, best us. The beds are fine but at least 2 doubles or queens would be better, lack of space the problem and small bathrooms. The verandah is fine, spacious enough for 4. The Digby golf course is great fun to play, not an easy one but very fair and so close to the hotel. The town is attractive along the waterfront as well. Well worth a visit!
We stayed at the Digby Pines for our first anniversary after staying last year. A couple of the staff remembered us and welcomed us back, wishing us a Happy Anniversary and all. We enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant and then went for a walk around the property. Unfortunately, the beach access was closed, but we revisited some of the places we went during our wedding trip. Our room was a suite with a soaker tub in it - it made it an extra special trip because a tub that big is a real treat! In the morning, we had delicious breakfast buffet. All the staff were kind and made us feel welcome.
Best place to stay the night in Digby, amazing heated pool, the older hotel has its charm, has been kept up well. The restautant is excellent, price is a bit high, but expected for good food.The rooms were clean and roomy, a heat pump to control the temperature is great! No loud compressor while trying to cool the room.The view in room 221 was amazing! Staff were welcoming and friendly. Thank you!
Entire main hotel is Victorian classic. Elegant and old world stylish. Staff are friendly and grounds are beautiful. We got a king room with a view and it is a bit small, but nice. Would have given 5 stars if the washroom was modernized and there was a patio off the room. Overall a lovely place to stay in a lovely coastal town.
