We were happy to find this hotel at the last minute. Even though the hotel is a bit old the room was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The kids slept on a pull out couch which one kid indicated that there were some uncomfortable springs. Best note is that the hotel had a great indoor pool! We also had a great view of the harbour. The on-site restaurant had some fantastic desserts. Book your whale watching tour with the hotel and get a discount.
We stayed at Admiral Digby Inn in late August. We took the ferry from Saint John and were really surprised at how close it was to the hotel! It's not far and a really easy drive into the Digby town center. The information in the book in the room was extremely helpful with finding things to do. We had a fabulous hike at Van Tassel Lake which I'd wager we wouldn't have found had it not been for the book. Really helpful and friendly at the front desk. Nice to have laundry facilities too. Room was clean and comfy and the wifi was excellent.
Room was just ok, great view of ocean. Bathroom is setup very odd, toilet and tub in room across the hall is the sink in it's own room. Bed was not a queen size like I reserved.
Very hard bed and pillows. They don't include breakfast. We went to their restaurant for breakfast, and my husband had the worst sausage he ever ate. Good view, nice room, but horrible bed and breakfast.
Not a great location if you want to explore Digby in foot as its too far to walk to the downtown core. View is pretty nice. Staff was friendly. Room was dated. Smelled very damp/musty like the hotel rooms in the Caribbean. Why? Were not in a humid climate. It was kind of gross. I wont return unless I have to.
