Lots of fish and a great place to swim
We stopped here for a picnic lunch along the shore. Nice view of the lake.
Stopped for 5 mins on way to ferry. Not much here, looked to be good for swimming though the lake had plenty of foam at the edges so I wouldn't. Fairly scenic. Had toilets and changing huts.
Further to "movie bod's" review, there is a rudimentary (dirt & gravel) boat launch suitable for putting small craft such as canoes and kayaks into the water. There are also several picnic tables, at least one of which has a roof.
The park is well managed and the grass is regularly mowed, the lake is great for swimming in and basic washrooms and changing rooms are provided. There is no overnight camping and the gates are locked at dusk.
